Jude's Makeover

Last Friday, I took the kids out to the movies to watch The Town. And as the girls got dressed (Rik and Cheb), Jude was curious as to where we wanted to go. After telling him that we were heading for the movies, we decided to invite him. Now mind you, this was a very exciting idea because Jude never goes anywhere but he seemed thrilled to hang out with us that night. We even made a big deal of it; claiming that Blithe would be devastated and that we're stealing his only friend. Well, just the four of us, we had a good night. The movie was enjoyable and hopping from one food chain to another.

Last night, Jude asked us when it'll be the next time we hung out. And of course, this was another exciting moment in our lives. Rik said we'll hang out and make sure his social life will now exist. Under one condition... she told him that he had to wear better shoes. And with this rather humorous conversation, we concluded with a make-over for Jude. And so, this afternoon, his mom gave him guap and we took him shopping!

Now, Jude is supa swaggin' hella hard. Well, this is a big step for him. I'm both so proud and so happy (':

• In the 2nd grade, I remember our classroom had an entire wall of the solar system. And I remember daydreaming about studying astronomy and learning about planets and galaxies. And now I'm daydreaming again.
  
• Did you know that a new planet has been discovered in another galaxy? It's very similar to Earth which means that there is a high possibility that there is life form there. Cool huh? A friend and I spent what felt like hours talking about this, and parallel universe, and just how small it made us feel.

Hobbies?

I have been making mixed tapes.

As inconvenient as it is now to use outdated media, I'm still very fond of it. There's something about mixed tapes, and its poor quality, and the effort that it possesses that makes it something for me to be desired. The Cure just sounds better this way. And Modest Mouse.

I have two more blank mixed tapes. And I'm going to make two perfect mixes to perfectly give to two people.

The Concept of Naming Inanimate Objects

Recent baptisms:

• SLR Canon Rebel XS, given the name BUKOWSKI. Inspired by yesterday's book Ham On Rye by Charles Bukowski. I found it a funny book, even if the mousely modest part of me keeps asking, Who would want to be such an asshole?
  
• Ipod classic that Mikal gave me over the summer, given the name ABSINTHE Inspired by Minus the Bear. Absinthe is a highly alcoholic beverage and addictive psychoactive drug; illegal in the U.S. and several other countries. Absinthe party anyone?

Two Weeks

FRIDAY~~~

Yesterday was just a verrrrrrrry good Friday. I spent time quality with almost every single person I wanted to spend time with. Except for Ace. Though we did visit her at Burlington where she told us her gruesome story about hitting her forehead on some corner.

SHE IS ALWAYS WORKING. SHE IS ALWAYS BEING AN AP KID. The most quality time we have is when we have our pep talks over the phone (which is actually more frequent than I acknowledged) BUT GODDAMN. SHE HAS NO MORE TIME TO BE SOCIAL. Eghhhhhhh

I need more girl friends. One..or two. Just someone to share girly time with. Sigh, I crave that sometimes.

Ramon Villaroel

FINALLY, I was able to spend time with my bestbestbestfriend yesterday. He literally tried to take this picture 6 times. I miss him so much all the time! I miss his supersuperextreme bear hugs where he picks me up and spins me around like a doll! Yesterday, he superextreme hugged me so much that my bones literally ached! And I always miss his ridiculously contagious laughter !

Luke is so beautiful

Not only can we now see his beautifully sculpted face, but we can also see every facial expression he makes. We can finally see his full emotions!

It was so goooood spending Friday night with him, singing Cudi at the top of our lungs. OH ANGE!
